Most of my clients get 3 weeks out of their enhancements, but this really depends on how well you look after your nails! While I try to provide the most thorough prep, nail enhancements can be easily affected by outside factors such as cleaning without gloves, prolonged times in water, using them as tools etc. I offer a 1 week free repair guarantee. After that, the cost will depend on the fault (remember I can tell if you have picked your gels off!).

You sure can! Recurring appointments mean you’re never frantically searching ‘Nails Papamoa’ or ‘Nails Mount Maunganui’ for a last minute appointment ever again 😉

– Remember they’re jewels not tools! Please don’t use them as an extension of your finger (ie. using them to open a can)

-Don’t pick them off — get them removed at your appointment instead (picking them off doesn’t only damage your nails it makes your next set not last as long)

-If your tech recommends a strengthening treatment or builder gel, there’s a reason behind this (to keep your nails long and strong!). I only recommend these when needed.

-Pe-book your appointments. Try and have your appointments on a three week rotation to avoid having your nails on too long (which can damage your nail bed and increases the likelihood of lifting). Pre-booking also ensures you don’t miss out when I’m booked up!

-If you’re washing dishes or cleaning with chemicals (natural or not) PLEASE wear gloves. Warm soapy water and gel nails don’t like each other! 

-If you love a good soak in a bath or pool, please try to keep your hands out of the water as much as you can to avoid lifting.

-Keeping your nails and hands hydrated will make a world of difference! Use moisturiser and cuticle oil as much as possible.

Applying cuticle oil can increase the circulation around your nails, stimulating nail growth. It can also help to protect your nail and cuticle against trauma, and improve the health and appearance of your nail. It keeps enhancements supple which reduces lifting and chipping.
